Sarah Fenton has beaten off strong opposition to take out one of Australia’s most prestigious travel industry accolades – the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia’s ‘Home-Based/Mobile Agent of the year’ award.

Sarah, who juggles a busy life as a full-time mum while at the same time running her own business as an MTA – Mobile Travel Agents Member, received the award at a glittering function held in The Star Sydney last week.

CLIA is the world’s largest cruise organisation, composed of more than 60 of the world's major cruise lines, and serves as a non-governmental consultative body to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), an agency of the United Nations.

Sarah’s award is viewed as one of the most esteemed  on the Australian travel industry scene and she joins a small but very select group of people who have won the award before her.

Now recognised as a major player on the national cruise scene, Sarah is also well known on the local cruise scene.

And when she’s not busy looking after her clients, she can be seen acting as a guide for the hundreds of cruise passengers calling into Port of Newcastle every year who take advantage of the opportunity to explore the Hunter Region on organised shore excursions while in town.

While she has more than 20 years travel experience under her belt, Sarah joined MTA in 2016, lured by the national travel agency group’s ability to allow its Members to manage busy family lives while still being able to hold down a career based in their own homes, an option too good to refuse for this busy Mum.

And her tip for the perfect holiday – a cruise of course.
